Unfriendly stuff, uncooperatove, and just looking to make money
Can't recommend at all
Sadly it was just a bad experience renting a car from Sixt, and it gave the good trip a bitter ending.
Even thougt there was still someone at the office, they refused to give the car back, as I was too late due to traffic, and charged me not more than written in the internet, but also another extra day. They also refused to answer simple questions like, where I could park the day until the other day, and even the next morning didn't really talk to me an just were unfriendly. Do yourself the favor and rent somewhere else
Sadly, the feedbacks regarding Shlomo Sixt is almost uniformly negative and the volume of complaints against Shlomo Sixt indicates the poor quality and costumer satisfaction.
The willingness of employees to solve problems does not exist. Suggestions of the customer are not considered. Suggestions of employees are not made, as they do not seem to have the authority to make decisions on their own and/or are not sufficiently qualified to do so. This leads to endless discussions between customer and employees that lead to nothing, as the employee is suddenly "tired" of talking to the customer.
I have had this experience in the Jerusalem office unfortunately and it took me about 5 hours (on two consecutive days)
So avoid booking a rental car at Shlomo Sixt.
Very dependable good cars. Not always clean ALWAYS MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. Returning cars is usually easy. They close at 12pm on Fridays. You must get there an hour early or you will be stuck with the car for an extra day. No they do not care you waited in line to return it.
Worst experience as a client ever. Absolutely awful, make yourself a favor and don't go there. I made a call at 12:00 for confirming my booking: they answered that because of Sucot i had until 16:00 (instead of 18:00) for taking the car.
The office is bad located in the Sixt app, so I loose half an hour. I arrived at 15:45 and they told me in very bad manners that I couldn't take the car because the road was cut because of Sucot (it's true the office's street was closed, but not the one in which the parking is). No solution and no empathy. 0 professionality. My plan was to go to Masada very early in the morning, around 2:00 AM, but the only way to get the car was to wait until 8:00. So they destroyed that part of my trip.
In addition, my original contract was for 3 days, so I told them to be billed 2 days. They said "ok", and when I gave the car back, they've changed the original contract and I had, instead of 4.000 km to run without charge, only 250 km per day. As I made 650 km in 2 days, it was even more expensive that to pay the 3 days. We made an arrangement and I paid 3 days instead of 2
This nightmare doesn't end here. i was given a car below the category I've booked in internet. The week before I made another rental with Sixt Tel Aviv and had a wonderful car (Mazda 2), the one I booked. In Jerusalem, for the same category and price I've got an old Peugeot. I received the car with an autonomy of 500 km, and when I fulled the deposit, the autonomy was 800 km. So I loose another 30-40 € for this concept. I claimed and promised me they will send me an email with a solution. Two weeks have passed, and there's no e-mail.
A complete disaster. Run away from this thieves.
Worst place ever. Wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this here. The cars are in terrible condition, you don’t get the car you pay for, and the workers are extremely rude. Horrible experience.
Can I give them zero stars? Or maybe negative stars?!!? In Sep 2017 Shlomo Sixt would not accept my Chase Sapphire Preferred card for CDW & TP at Ben Gurion airport. My price went from the $138 reservation price for 5 days to $241!!! It was 5 AM and no other car rental company would give me a better price telling me I had to have made my reservation in advance (and/or from outside Israel) to not pay CDW & TP. Took the rental from Shlomo Sixt. Communicated with their customer service (not really much service!) via e-mail. Was told they canceled that “contact” two weeks earlier with Chase. However, Visa Credit Card Services said there is no such thing as a contact. It is up to any merchant to accept or refuse terms. I pushed Shlomo Sixt as on my reservation it said make sure you contact your credit card company (which I did) to see if they cover CDW & TP in Israel. And Chase Sapphire Preferred does! Ultimately the woman I was dealing with at Shlomo Sixt said they don’t even accept Chase Sapphire Preferred for payment. Ha!! A lie as it was on my card statement! So look elsewhere for your car rental in Israel! Customer service at Shlomo Sixt just sucks!
Low efficiency, bad cars, long waiting times, high prices (dont believe your reservations online, taxes and extra insurance fees four-doubles the price). There is absolutely no good reason to rent from Shlomo Sixth, especielly when Hertz and Eldan are right up the road 30 meters
Although we had pre-booked a garantueed children seat they told us that they had no seat available. Only when we said that we would not take the car at all they stated trying to find a seat. We had to wait for nearly an hour but got one in the end.
The cars are situated in a neighboring garage. Due to low light in there it is really hard to see any damages at the car. There is also no written protocol of previous damages.
Next time we probably will use another station (or another company).
Extremely unfriendly staff. Rent a car at the airport instead - would be much faster.
Nice staff but the long wait and being incorrectly charged twice was a turn off.
Everything went smoothly, had no issues. Rented a car for two weeks, the return was quick and easy (once we figured out where to drop the car off). Would use them again
They just try to sell you extra insurance when you are already covered by American Express No small profits they say
This was by far one of the worst rental car experiences I have ever had. There staff and operations at this location was absurd and ridicules. Very unpleasant and deceiving people. I did not want any kind of insurance and was still billed $17 a day. The gps I rented did not work properly. The car was not the car I chose on price line and was filthy. The pick up and drop off experience took a least 30min each time and was very unpleasant. I will never rent from this company again. Branch: Jerusalem - King David St.
It has been more than two weeks since I returned a car - without any problem and had full-cover insurance. However I have found in my credit card bill that they charged US $500 couple of days ago.
Worst service ever! They are rude, charged my credit card 900 EUR for no reason at all, very dirty car (they just take the trash out but don't clean or vacuum it). Also, be aware of the starting code !
Overall great service. I came to Jerusalem with some friends from Romania and we needed a car to travel in the nearby villages. The stuff was super friendly, the car was clean and the price was good. Will definitely book from them again.
