  Wadi David is overpriced and over sold. We paid 56 shekels for a crowded thirty minute hike only to discover that many other hikes in the area are free. We weren't allowed to climb up to another hike because we had a child with us (she was in a hiking backpack and we are very experienced hikers) and because it was already the afternoon (three hours till sunset). We then ascended the trek from the other side of the hill, took us about an hour. No problem with sunlight or kid. I am very supportive of paying an entrance fee to a national park but in this case I just felt ripped off. If you go then access the routes via the Wadi Argout road.

  Shops and toilets provided. Staff close parts of the walk well before the information boards say they will close. Disappointing.

  Zoals vele bijbelse plaatsen in Israël is ook deze plaats bijzonder om te zijn. David die zich in de grotten had verscholen voor koning Saul. Lang geleden, maar nog allemaal te zien. Het water van de waterval heeft een fijne temperatuur en menig toerist gaat er onderstaan voor een douche.
