Fantastic place to wander about. The walk up the gorge is spectacular and unless you go up to the top it's a good place to escape from the heat.

It is a good place to visit for those who love visiting archeological sites. The place is small, visit with guide took something like an hour, so it should be considered as a part of a trip.

Great site of Nabatean City along the historical International Incense Road from Arabian peninsula to Mediterranean Sea outlet. From Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine periods. International UNESCO Heritage Site.

Well kept national park, with great options for hiking for the family and for adults.
Make sure to take the longer walk, if you come in with 2 cars leave one car at the top and start walking from the bottom, taking all the stairs and ladders, finishing at the top.

I was advised to park at the 'dwellings' and to make a circle up to the main site and then down via the main road. Made perfect sense: you get to see everything, and you walk up first and then down. The dwellings are definitely interesting, as are the burial caves just off the main road. Great site, overall.

Small but interesting exhibition explaining the goods that were passed through this way. Very interesting 9 minutes film, available in different languages among them are English, Hebrew, French and Russian (there are more, but I couldn't see the list).
The ruins are in good shape, the caves are great for the kids (mine brought a sword with him, just in case), flashlight can help but not needed.
On site there are some iron sculptures depicting life scenes from the nabatian times.
