Not sure if i like the food so much. I ordered lamb rack, but i am getting lamb chop at the price of lamb rack. So dissapointed

A mythological oriental/Arabic restaurant with decades of experience. Consistent, tasty food. No fuss, just great food. Friendly service. Would have been 5 stars if the place was cleaner.

Every time I'm in Haifa, I go to Abu Yousef. Great Arab food, Clean and never change with the years. Prices are good too. A must.

Authentic Arab restaurant in Haifa. The must-have dish on the menu is Hummus with meat, the restaurant's specialite. Lamb Shishlik was good and the Skewered Kebab was hailed by everybody in our table as the best main dish. Nice oil-soaked french fries and overly sweet lemonade. Rude waiters, as this is what "authentic" means in Haifa.

Be aware that there are *two* restaurants in Haifa called Abu Yusuf (the spellings vary). I've seen reviews for one of them which seemed to refer to the other one. Here I'll write about the one near the Carmelit station in Kikar Paris. My cousin and I eat here only once every few months, but the waiter remembers us. Some customers have been going here for decades. If I'm not very hungry I'll take a few small plates from the salad bar (8 shekels each) and a kubbeh or some stuffed vegetables. Their hummus with ground lamb is very good. A carafe of lemonade (only 18 shekels) washes it down. You get a small cup of Turkish coffee on the house at the end, which goes well with baklava (3 shekels).
