Ordered the eggplant with tahini on the side. Head waiter argued that it is impossible. I wonder why? He said that the chef insisted that the tahini must be ON the eggplant. Left and cancelled the whole order that included steaks , bread, ravioli etc. some restaurants are just an ego trip of individuals.

Preparing a large piece of meat to perfection demands a combinations of skills and materials which is hard to come by.

After hearing about the Doris for years, I visited both Zikhron Yaakov and Rosh Pinna to learn if the rumors were true, and can now confirm that indeed they were.

The huge steaks I had (650-800g) were tender, juicy and all-over awesome.

Doris serves the best meat in Israel by far and employs Grill-men that have mastered the art.

Doris might not be a classy place, but it sure is a must if you're looking for a good meat meal. Steaks are superb, and there's a very wide range of cuts. Also, on weeknights there a special deal on burgers where you get fries and a drink at the price of the burger. Make sure to ask which of the dishes come with sides so you won't over order like we did lol.

Great place with great atmosphere and such a great food!
We ordered lamb hamburger, that was one of the best I ate, fillet steak and entrecote steak that was not bad too.

The service was great, the waitress knew everything there was to know about the different kinds of meat. As expected, the steaks and sausages were wonderful! Don't be afraid to ask for medium, if it's too red, they'll put it back on the heat for you
