I often travel to Israel and would spend a week in Jerusalem. Barood was my go to spot at least three or four nights a week when I was there. The food is great. The service is great. The owner makes it personal and even once made a point of making my favorite soup before I left to go home. It is highly recommended.

Great service, but quite expensive for the food that you get. All was tasty, but you can get better in the Market areas. Open on Shabbat!

Lovely food, atmosphere, and service. Will be sure to return when I come back to Jerusalem. We had 4 plates, and some local beer. All excellent.

8.26.17 - located in the courtyard of a building off of Yafo Street. It's a cute spot with fresh food. We ordered the kras because it had just come out of the oven.

The service is not bad, but slightly slow. It's a little pricey, but it's open on Shabbat. They accept credit card and it seems popular with tourists and locals.

A gem! Great drinks, food, and staff.

We ordered two drinks, the Bombay Bomber was very well balanced, refreshing, and had nice notes of cucumber.

The food was amazing, we had the cheese cracker/cookies with picked peppers on top. We also tried their the beef rump which had been sliced thinly like prosciutto, and was semi-picked, like corned beef. The result was a delicate texture and subtle flavor, complimented by the bagel, arugula, and mustard served alongside.

If you're in the area, highly recommend stopping by for some of their more eclectic appetizers and the solid drinks.

Had a memorable meal on either a Fri or Sat night (when most restaurants were closed for Shabbat). The labenah was absolutely delish, and the meatballs in plum & wine sauce were simple AMAZING. A real find!!!

Although this place is not kosher, it holds a special place for a Jerusalem cuisine that has its roots in Spanish, Greek, and Arab blends. The 🍷 wine selection, ambiance, decor, and friendly service are more than enough to put this place on the must visit places in Jerusalem.

Charming, cozy place hidden away up the stairs in a bar area. Atmosphere is quiet, casual and jazzy, food is delicious and owner/staff are friendly. As tourists craving more meat and potatoes selections, we were so pleased to enjoy dinner here.
