Not sophisticated cuisine but for those looking for a solid, rich, very well serviced fish restaurant it is a nested gem. Fresh fish and seafood, along with their famous salads and the lovely balanced wine list make it a "can't go wrong" choice.

Sorry, this place holds only sentimental value. Other than that, it has everything you would expect from an old restaurant: tables packed tightly together, sticky floors, dirty cutlery and dishes, untrained waiters, crumbling menus. All of that would have been okay if the food was tasty and/or cheap, but sadly it is neither. Only go if for some reason you cannot get out of Ashdod.

The place is beautiful, the atmosphere is almost addictive, and the food is tasty.
The service can be sloppy sometimes (and they don't make discounts when they make a mistake), and the price is not cheap for a restaurant in this place.
The deserts are not very exciting (even though some look great).
Eat here only when they serve lunch deals for a reasonable price (that's before 18:00 o'clock).

The restaurant deteriorated drastically. We ordered Fillet of Locus/Grouper. It was tasteless as if cooked in steamed multi-cooker. Sorry to say that but it's definitely not the same Idi like it was 10-15 years ago.
