Great location and friendly staff, especially Maggs who served us in the bar. She gave us great information and was a lovely lady. The room lacked a few things, no ice machine, fridge or iron. Wifi was sketchy when you left lobby. Great breakfast, best we had in the last week of traveling. Large room and comfy bed.

This long established landmark hotel has a well deserved reputation for friendly efficient service. Both the older bedrooms and more recent additions are clean, comfortable and well equipped. There are large function rooms smaller conference rooms and smaller consultation areas available and the spacious foyer and adjoining bar area make a sociable and convivial space for social contact.
Catering for functions is of a high standard and the serving staff experienced and efficient. Casual dining is the weak point in this otherwise excellent establishment. The food served is generally of a good standard but regrettably may dip below acceptable on occasions.response / report this review -

If you are looking to host a family gathering or a small get together with friends this is the place. I cannot thank the staff enough. From booking the date and creating the menu it was made simple, on the night the whole night just went so perfectly from start to finish, Meal was top class, service was 100% and the value for money was exceptional. I look forward to the next family occasion BIG SHOUT OUT TO EVERYONE INVOLVED x
