My family and I were at this restaurant for dinner as friends had recommended it. The service was amazing, the waitress was very friendly and very helpful. However, the food was expensive for what it was. It was something between passable and mediocre.

I had the Rack of Lamb, in fairness it was nicely cooked and juicy, but there was nothing else on the plate to complement the dish. Also it was covered on some sharp mustard I did not enjoy, I had to scrape it off. The duck was dry, the pâté that was included smelled/tasted gone off. I was annoyed at myself for not playing safe by ordering a steak or something, which unlikely other restaurants it was also served on its own.

I thought that the dessert would cheer me up, I ordered the trifle, but I did not enjoy it at all.

The place was nice when we arrived, quite intimate, but it got very loud very quickly. They turned the music up, which lead to people to speaking louder. We were not able to have a chat and enjoy the food.

In overall when reviewing this restaurant I was a bit torn between giving it 2 and 3 stars. But then I realised that I could not give it only 2 stars, the location is good, it is very central, it is clean, and the service is amazing. It is just a pity that the standard of the food doesn't match the price tag.

Romantic atmosphere, 5 Star mouth watering food served with a 5 star service. Simple yet sophisticated decor, with pleasant music in the background. Bathrooms were simple yet sophisticated and were kept immaculate. I can quite honestly say I would want to go here on any special occasion. Brilliant value for your money. Top favourite Restaurant.
