The staff at this hospital are very helpful and make sure your well looked after there is always a long wait but its the norm in most hospitals, its a University hospital like Wexford hospital so its busy with student doctors and nurses everywhere. The parking is almost maxed out at present, hope the construction work that's on going is a multi storey car park. The cafeteria is good, can be packed out at breakfast and lunch times, still there is always the shop opposite which is all good.

An utterly dreadful experience. Accosted by a rude and arrogant overpaid doctor for daring to check my name in a queue when there was no nurse or receptionist in site and this was after 2 hours of hanging around. Death would be preferable to going to that place again, which is only interestes in rip off parking charges and clamping (there are more signs about this than anything medical) and not providing any service to the overburdened Irish tax payer. Avoid, avoid , avoid!!!!!!

They do not have any dressings for people with an allergic reaction to the regular dressings in A&E. I think one need go no further. Unbelievable, No privacy afforded patients for medical examinations, as the people who supposedly upgraded A&E a few years ago, only allowed 3 private rooms for examinations. And 2 of those are used by triage nurses. WHAT WILL THEY DO IF THERE IS SOME KIND OF DISASTER IN THE LOCALITY??? Shouldn't heads roll? But of course, we are talking about the HSE. That will never happen

My Sister got rushed into this hospital on 24th February in agony with a kidney stone, she is still waiting for her operation to remove it, 18 days later and 3 individual days fasting, being told the operation will be today but then it never happened, also one of the nurses put the wrong name tag on her ankle she discovered today. There is more to this story and complaints are being made.

I'm a regular patient here and live in Waterford this hospital is so dangerously under funded and totally under staffed all my experiences here are negative and the waiting lists for anything are the worst in Ireland 2 years for a routine ultrasound and 8 months for a x-ray I was waiting what a joke, I know people waiting over 3 years for a mri scan it's absolutely scandalous my partner on a 2 yrs waiting list for gallbladder removal and 12 months to see a ent doctor. Shame on this government. We be all dead before we are seen that's the shocking truth
