Amazing place. Really good breakfast and really clean room. Cookies made each day available at any time, nice common areas. The owner and rest of people working are really good giving advise and they helped us a lot on our trips to Connemara, Aran islands and even recommending us the ferry on our trip to kilerney. To say something to improve, the room was so cold, they should turn on more time the heaters.

My second stay here, I'm sure there are other places in Galway to stay but why would you want to be anywhere else? The location can't be beat, close enough to the action getting around is painless but far enough away that when it is time to call it a night you don't here the noise from the pubs. Breakfast is outstanding and Russel is willing to share his knowledge with you to help you get the most out of your visit.
If I had one issue with the place it would be that the bathroom was a little small by American standards but we got on just fine.response / report this review -

The owners of The Stop showed me the best hospitality I have had in Ireland. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable exploring Galway and assisted us and other tourists with tour bookings and directions. They gave us some great restaurant recommendations and they did not disappoint! The breakfast was absolutely outstanding and the availability of tea and cookies all day long was a plus. There is a wonderful communal living room and the dining room is also available in the afternoon and evenings for your use. I found the rooms to be very clean and had no issues with the wifi at least on the 1st and 2nd floors. I looked forward to picking out my breakfast each night before I went to sleep and enjoying the fresh coffee in the morning. I stayed here with my parents, sisters, and husband and despite our different preferences and ages we all loved it! It was a fantastic value for the money as well. I would like to move in!

Great breakfast, nice hosts, walking distance to the city center but reasonably quieter. Decorations are very nice. WiFi is not reachable in all rooms though. All things considered it is a very good cost/benefit.

My fiancé and I stayed 2 nights the first week of May. We highly recommend staying here. We drove up from the Dingle peninsula without a set itinerary, and they were flexible with us checking in a day early. Excellent location in Galway and they provided awesome recommendations for local pubs with live music, restaurants, and day trips. Rooms were clean and breakfasts were delicious.
