Gave it only three stars because for some reason you cannot eat in the bar area. The food was decent but you have to leave the bar and go to he dining room to eat. And the service was lacking. I asked for something from a wait person who then went and got my wait person and I had to ask for it again as if the wait staff doesn't talk to each other. The serving system is archaic and makes no sense leaving the customer out on a limb. Better service and this gets 4 stars.

The Old Stand in Shanagolden has to be experienced. No words can describe the beauty of the design of the place from the front door and throughout. The food is excellent and beautifully served by highly trained staff. A must for anyone who appreciates a bit of class.
