I had a meal in the Moorings yesterday evening and the food was spectacular. The dish I had was new to the menu. Seafood platter. Everything was cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend the Moorings for their food and friendly professional staff.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The staff was more than accommodating. Our waitress and I think it was the owner loaned coats for us to go out to Skellig Michael because our luggage did not make it to Shannon with us. I mentioned that I was not sure if we were dressed properly for the boat ride out to Skellig Michael, to our waitress and she took it on herself along with the owner, to make sure that we had proper clothing to go out there. Turns out that we needed those coats--it poured on our way back from the island. Thank you ladies!!

I needed this placebad. Like Carrie Fisher needs her extascy. I had climbed Skellig Michael, and I had had it. Skellig was an unmitigated nightmare--although I'm glad I did it. It was cold and rainy, and I can't ever remember being so freaked. Anyway, Moorings warmed me up with soup and wisky--all at a reasonable price. Thank God for this place.
