I had great expectations for Afternoon Tea at the Shelbourne, but it is mediocre in comparison to other Afternoon Tea around the world, in Dublin even. The room is badly designed too and the decor is unbalanced. I would take your custom, and money, to the Westbury which is far superior in taste and presentation and the tea room there is more spacious, comfortable, elegant and classy. Great selection of tea though. Cakes are artistic. Scones and sandwiches nothing special.
This was the most disappointing Afternoon Tea I have had. The standard and variety of the food was very poor. Only one type of bread, bland toppings, tasteless scones, one type of jam and pre-whipped cream. Even the 'ham' on the child's sandwich had to be removed as it was just fatty and inedible. We were also squashed at a very small table without room for everything, as a result our teapots were not left with us and we had to keep looking for staff for refills. This was not a good experience and they have a cheek to charge people €49 for this sub-standard tea. They should pay a visit to the likes of The Westbury and Gallagher's Bistro and sample the quality of their food.
Hotel amb molta història. Molt clàssic i decoració irlandesa. Destacar l'esmorzar.
Great spot. Perfect for a quiet pint, a bit of a dance or a lovely bit of grub. Staff are fantastic and it's definitely one of my favourite pubs in Swords.
Great place for a pint
