Great venue for shows. My irritant are people coming early and reserving seats who are arriving later

Thanks to Brid Hurley of the North East Food Safety for her 5 star testimonialIt's much appreciated.

North East Food Safety regularly uses The Barbican Centre as a venue for our Food Safety and HACCP training programmes. In the past when we booked a training venue we had very little prior involvement with venue staff. Basically we outlined our requirements and turned up on the day – and that was pretty much it!
Since we discovered The Barbican our experience has been so different.
Declan Power really engages with us, finding out exactly what we need, making helpful suggestions and consistently delivering an excellent service. From time to time we have had to make some last minute changes and Declan was able to accommodate us on each occasion.
The venue itself is ideal; centrally located with ample parking nearby, a lift to all floors and excellent training facilities.
It is an absolute pleasure dealing with Declan and the team. From reception and administration through to caretaking staff they are always so helpful, friendly, welcoming and professional. This focus on customer service is evident across the operation and is shown, for example, in how we were encouraged to drop in to see a variety of room layouts before deciding on the most suitable one for our programme.
With the Barbican however, we have discovered so much more than just a great training venue. An unexpected bonus has been Declan’s active promotion of our training programmes on social media platforms. As a result of this our programmes are regularly booked out in advance and this has directly contributed to the ongoing growth and success of our business.
We look forward to continuing our very successful partnership with Declan and all at the Barbican.

Booked a meeting room here for a confidential meeting only to have the staff walk through not once but twice?! Beggars belief.

Nice little place for gigs very intimate, but wish there was a proper bar there and more variety of drinks. Enjoyed Jason Byrne there enjoyed when he got me up on stage. Recommend it for anyone looking for a good night out.

Seating can be a little uncomfortable for long shows but it's a nice little venue.
