Welcome to The ART SMYTH which facilitates and delivers quality arts projects and workshops across Ireland, Northern Ireland and further afield :) It is run and coordinated by Artist Sinead Smyth and facilitated by herself and other guest artists, who have a wealth of experience between working on projects for the Turner Prize Learning Team 2013, City of Culture 2013, Thames Festival 2013 and 2014, Derry City Council, Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, Mourne Heritage Trust, designing and delivering curriculum linked workshops for schools, arts and painting for adults and children of all ages and abilities... and a lot more (see my about for my qualifications)...Please enjoy a scroll down my page as I've shared lots of ideas, videos and images in hope they will inspire you and your kids to get creative and imaginative. Service Provided: Visual Arts, Arts workshops focusing on Creative Development, enjoyment of the creative processes and production of proud things.
Mediums include oil, acrylic, mosaic, multi-media, 3D sculpture and installation - with a tendency towards the use of recycled, natural and biodegradable materials.
I have worked with many organisations and communities including the Turner Prize, Thames Festival, The British Council, The Arts Council N.I., Culture Company 2013, Derry City and Strabane District council, Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, The Mourne Heritage Trust, Belfast City council, North West Carnival and more. I am a founder member of the Inishowen Rural Arts Network and have exhibited my own work both nationally and internationally.
Member of CREATE, the National Development Agency for Collaborative Arts, for artists working with schools, communities and social groups.
Artist is Garda vetted in Republic of Ireland through Create Ireland and a ‘Disclosure Certificate’ is currently held. The Artist holds public liability insurance, as required by many public bodies.
