Lively bars with good food
Very friendly and always a good atmosphere
This is a truly Irish lounge, and one to be savoured!! Founded in 1902 by TP Cotter, the current owners, Jack and Breda Cotter, always enusre that there is good food, good drink and a beautiful, Old World atmosphere. There is always good banter to be had, especially at match days, weekends and local festivals and events, while there is usually live music held there. There is a beer garden, where events can be held, and there are also mementos of the Macroom Mountain Dew Festival on display there from the late 1970's with memories of the late, great Rory Gallagher included. This place has earned its five-star award, so make sure to pop a visit; the Guinness is always great!! On tap, "Jacksie" always has a Limited Edition brew on tap, along with some great local craft beer!! Good characters from the locals to get to know too.
