I adore how they have the cathedral renovated. Started with rearranged the seating layout giving the whole interior a greater spaciousness. Keeping the old things while replacing new ones where needed.

This church is gorgeous. Definitely worth your time, and free of course.

Butttt the real draw is the Galway market. It's a blast and right out front! Bring home some local art. Grab some bread. Check out the cheese. Fruit and veg. You'll love it. And if you find the Pagan Stall ran by Ted and Tina tell them Mia sent you and buy a candle! They make them out of their thatch roof home in Barna. Kindest people ever and great story tellers!

A place of worship for many Christian communities. The church still stands tall after more than 800 years. It is located at the end of the busiest street in Galway City, on the right hand side as you are going from Eyre Square to the Spanish Arch.

My experience here was very specific, not just as a tourist - they hosted a performance of our boy choir, along with a local choral group. We had a lovely joint performance. What I should note as part of a review, in case you wish to perform or attend a performance there, is that the acoustics are fantastic! It sounded like we had twice as many boys there as we did. Those hosting the event were very friendly and supportive, we would definitely be happy to perform there again.
