  Don't go here. Had to go twice for them to tell me what I needed done. Both times completely different information. Third time a week later they were going to extract my tooth. She hadn't looked at X-rays until after I arrived. Then started but in the middle of it the anaesthetic didn't work so had to stop. I was supposed to go back to work but had to take the day off because of the immense pain. This whole pointless procedure was over the course of three weeks while I was in constant pain and was an absolute waste of my time. Honestly such terrible service, the worst I've experienced anywhere in my life. They literally only made the problem worse.

  Smiles on South Anne Street are great! I go here for general dentistry, my annual check-ups, scale and polish, etc. and recently I had to attend for an infection under one of my baby teeth that has clung on determinedly for the last two decades.
  They got me in super quick for an exam, which only cost €40. They prescribed antibiotics, and said that if it didn't clear up, to pop back and they'd have to extract it, but extraction would be the last resort. I called for an appointment when a piece of the same tooth chipped off, and saw the same dentist.
  She was great, and explained everything she was going to do, and suggested that we do my annual scale and polish while we were waiting on the numbing injection to do its work. I agreed, and within half an hour I had my teeth gleaming, and my problematic tooth removed. She also made a point of saying that if I was in pain at any point that I should raise my left hand and she'd stop immediately, but because she was so careful and so quick at what she did, I didn't need to do that.
  I'd highly recommend Smiles. They're quick, inexpensive, explain things clearly and concisely, and sorted my problem with minimal fuss.

  I was actually just waiting for a friend outside their building and suddenly me and my phone were DRENCHED in a chemically smelling water from above! Looked up and there's a window open above where I was standing.
  
  Now, on my lunch break, in my uniform texting someone and all of a sudden I'm treated like a noisey cat having water upended on them. My hair and phone smell funky. Had to run back to work with wet hair and uniform. Not great to say the least
  
  Met friend and grabbed food to take away from next door. Ran back to work and called smiles. Reception answered with 'just a second', put me on hold for 3 minutes before getting back to me (mildly irritating). When I told her what had happened (and suggested maybe their sign had had pooled water which fell on to me as don't see why they would pour water on unsuspecting civilians), she immediately got on the defensive, insisting that it wasn't possible, that the ground floor of the premises is the only part used and basically made it sound like I was lying. I explained that I definitely got water on me and that it had a chemical smell and maybe something with the sign or 1st floor windows was the blame. Her skepticism was very clear, but she did say she would look into it. A half baked apology and that was it. Not exceptionally impressed, especially considering I was polite in explaining the incident and was ultimately made feel like they thought me a liar

  I've been here a few times and go to the dentist annually. On my previous visit, 12 months ago, the dentist who examined me told me my teeth are in good condition and I had cavities. She marked on tooth as 'watch' because it is difficult to clean, a dodgy wisdom tooth. Other then that, I got a clean bill of health and was told to keep doing what I was doing.
  
  I brush twice a day with an electric tooth brush, use mouth wash, I floss, and I use a tongue scrapper.
  
  My recent annual visit, I got a different dentist, I don't like this discontinuity. Smiles seem to allow any dentist to practice in this clinic.
  
  During the exam, she used the probe to test my teeth and said a few times, 'that must really hurt', but I said 'no'. I had no idea what she was talking about. She then told me I have 7 cavities in my teeth. So I went from 0 to 7 cavities in the space of 12 months. The bill for filling all these cavities would be €555. None of this sounded right to me because it contradicts about 8 years of dentistry.
  
  I decided that this needed more investigation and I booked another dentist to get a second opinion. This dentist, probed all of my teeth, told me about my tooth anatomy and that my teeth have naturally deep fissures, and said that on examination with the probe that I don't have any cavities. She said she would verify this with x-rays. She took a series of x-rays of my teeth and verified there are no cavities in my teeth. I asked her, what does a cavity look like? She showed me examples, she told me how cavities are filled, she showed me example x-rays of cavities, before and after filling.
  
  This advise is all in line with what every other dentist has been telling me, was a much more thorough examination, and completely contradicted what the Smiles dentist said.
  
  I couldn't recommend Smiles at all. You have no idea what kind of dentist you're going to get. It seems this dentist wanted to drill into and fill 7 healthy teeth. This would completely ruin my teeth I would think. I want to give Smiles no stars but the least I can give them is one.

  Very rude staff there. I was late for my appointment and came in to reschedule it and the receptionist said "I told you not to come".
