Great place for a few pints and the craic 😉 good b&b too nice rooms food is ok great value for money would definitely come back to stay again staff make you feel welcome and are very attentive 👍👍👍

Place itself is a little old fashioned (which some people might like) and a little dark, but the food we ordered was lovely and well worth the price.

One of the best weekend stays I have had all year. Constantly travelling with work yet have never felt more at home than in the Shannon House

Katie of the smiling eyes is exactly that always a smile for every customer

Richie the owner is down to earth and extremely approachable

Soup was fine, coffee was terrible, having American cheese on sandwiches is very disappointing, and the coleslaw was drowned in dressing. The chocolate cake was very dry and served with whipped cream from a can. The cheesecake was divine though.
I can't speak for the Chinese food here, I didn't have it.
The setting here is really good as well.
This place has a lot of potential, there was just a few things that need to be fixed.

Nice visual from outside an authentic irish chinese kitchen should have been a warning ran out of the place at 1200 am new owners in last while i believe and place has gone down hill. They are not hugely involved by the looks of where this pub used to be with food and drink using the internet cameras to tell staff to close. Been coming here for years but wont be back unless things change better food and pubs in the town just a little further from the museum. Hurts writing this as have always stopped here even with my parents 30 yrs ago.
