Place of worship, with old prisoners door and actual head of Oliver Plunket, who was hanged drawn and quartered!
Wonderful peaceful and prayerful atmosphere containing the shrine of saint Oliver Plunkett.
Parish church of St. Peter's Parish Drogheda, it serves the parisoners of the Northern part of Drogheda, which is the most southern parish of the Armagh diocese
St Peters church is situated in the main street and its steeples can be seen ever where in the skyline over the town. Its a massive building and well worth a visit, for spiritual help or just for photos opportunities. If any icon represented a place then this church represents the town of Drogheda. The street in front been so narrow makes it difficult to get the whole church in picture. So make sure you have a wide angel lens and you bound to get the shot you require.
Beautiful church. Inside there is the head of a martir.
Really beautiful, but a little bit creepy, because of the mummie head of Oliver Plunkett.
Very beautiful inside and outside!
Beautiful. They have the head of a martyred saint, Oliver Plunkett. Most people can't say the have looked at one of those.
