Joan was such a wonderful host. Our room was comfortable, breakfast had great choices. Easy walk into Galway and along the coast. Joan answered many questions and helped us navigate a ferry ride to the Aran Islands. Highly recommend this B and B

Great B&B located in walking distance from all the major tourist spots. Joan was very lovely and made it feel welcoming. The rooms are thoughtfully designed and make it feel like you really are staying at a place by the sea.

This review is long overdue. My wife and I stayed at the Periwinkle in May, 2012 while attending the wedding of my wife's sister, after traveling from the US where we live. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel "at home". Joan made us feel as if we had "stopped in at mom's home". We even got to meet and chat with her neighbors. We highly recommend the Periwinkle to anyone wanting heart-warming, clean accomodations.

We had a LOVELY time when there in September! Joan was wonderful to help with questions and arrange for tours! We enjoyed having our coffee with her in the morning! It really does look like the pictures! While we were there I even left some personal items, and she was kind enough to mail them to me! I would definitely recommend--and hope to be back! Location was also perfect--close enough to City Centre to walk, yet not in the middle of it! Beautiful walkway on the Quay right there in front of you! Thanks a million, Joan! see you again soon! Excellent location close to the seafront and walking distance to the centre of Galway as well as Salthill. Very comfortable accommodation, delicious breakfast and friendly service. Would definitely recommend. Jeremy & Rachel, Wales.
