We booked our tour directly in Doolin Center for the small tour to the Cliffs of Moher. Two things, I'd like to mention here: The tour doesn't take up an hour as expected, if you travel by the fast boat and the puffin bird colony is only resident in summer til mid July.
We didn't knew that and were a little disappointed and told the captain. He was really kind and understanding. He offered us to stay on board and go to see the smallest of the Arran Island for free with no additional costs.
Great gesture and a really beautiful, guiet and peaceful place. Consider going there to!
The ship is top notch, the staff is friendly, the service is good. Just inform yourselves before you end up disappointed as we did first. We'd choose O'Brien again at any time!
Ripoff use the other ferry company. Old slow boats and horrible service. Boats take ages so hardly any time on the island.
Boat was very late both times during the day by 1 hour to 45 minutes. The pier was chaotic. People pushing and shoving each other to get on the boat. We even got on a boat and then all had to disembark because it was the wrong boat. The companies need a better system other than telling the customer pink slip or green slip. Signage would help. We went back and forth on the pier several times because we didn't know which boat to take. The island was amazing, but the ferries need to work on their organization.
Ocean, waves and rocks. We had a wonderful time on the boat.
We had booked the O'Brien ferry to Cliffs Of Moher in advance and arrived in time. The parking at the Pier is very limited so please make sure you have some time in hand to look for a parking space. Fortunately for us, the O'Brien line representative helped us find a parking space. It is initially a bit chaotic as everybody is waiting for the ferry on the Pier but eventually the representative arrives and it is sorted. The 45 mins trip looks small but is quite exhaustive. Try to find a seating space in the open area as from there you can see all the cliffs, birds etc very clearly. Overall an amazing experience!!!
There were missing and broken seats on the ship named something like "pirates bride". The Crew could have told a bit more about the Cliffs. NwverCosting 5€ more then the other ferry companys, i expceted a netter service. Despite all that, it was nice to swe the cliffs drom the sea.
Fabulous experience sailing from Doolin to Inis Oirr and the Cliffs of Moher! We were undecided about taking the full tour, but we are so glad we did. We saw and learned about sea birds that we likely wouldn't have otherwise. The crew was courteous and knowledgeable, and everything went like clockwork. One of my favorite parts of our trip to Ireland - looking forward to doing it again.
good service but the boat was late and badly arranged there was no clear line to Que up so did cause some issues other
services were better organised
What a great experience aboard The Doolin Ferry company on a recent trip around the sea cliffs of Doolin in Co Clare .. fantastic sea birds ..would highly recommend this 1 hour trip
