Book guided walks of the woodlands of Muckross Peninsula from Killarney National Park Education Centre. 0646635960. The staff ecologists have a wonderful knowledge of the park's natural heritage.

park the car, get a ride in a horse-powered cart. 35 euro for up to 6 ppl, will get you to Torc waterfall, wait there, than to Muckross house for lunch and then back. great views. boat trips there too
