Visited Morans on our second night in Ireland, a great experience. My partner tried the oysters and loved them, I stuck to a delicious seafood chowder. A warm, friendly resturant with a welcoming atmosphere, in a beautiful location. Would definitely recommend.

I've travelled far and wide, and this place is my all time favorite dining experience to date.
The interior, the atmosphere and the food make it a real experience.
Everything I has herw was meticulously prepared from amazingly fresh ingredients.
For appetizer, besides the uncanny oysters, you have to try the Salmon potato cakes, and the seafood chowder which is by far the best chowder I had, a recipe that dates back several generations.
Main courses are all amazing. Service is extremely friendly.

I had been wanting to try this place for years, and it definitely did not dissapoint. Food was 5 star, Guinness was fresh and service top notch. Surprisingly larger inside so don't be put off by big crowd outside. Now renamed but worth the 10 min drive off main road.

A very pleasant evening, the staff are very friendly and very Irish.Love to go back tomorrow but will not be possible as we have an important wedding to attend.

Service was fantastic and seafood sublime at this cozy restaurant next to the water. Went for dinner and was not disappointed! Stop here if anywhere near the area.

All about the location for me as I am not a fish eater. Location is wonderful and we sat outside as it was a fine day. As it was lunchtime we didn't want a big meal so only choice for me was veg soup which was tasty but could have been hotter. My partner had chowder which was quite runny but tasted great. I do not like "brown soda bread so asked for a crusty roll and was offered white sliced breadyuk! I would prefer to see brown rolls or artisan type bread on the menu as an alternative to soda bread.
This place is a must for fish lovers but really not worth it for non fish eaters. It's fairly pricey but I guess comparable to other establishments e.g (€5.20 for small bowl of soup/ €21 for chilli prawns)but we Irish are getting used to overpaying for everything . I would not recommend the coffee as it was bland and served with ice cold milk.response / report this review -

Beautiful location especially on a warm spring evening. Food was lovely especially the baked goats cheese which was amazing. There were no complaints about the food at all, there could just be more variety on the menu. The staff were very good and non pushy. I will go back 😊

Excellent food and service. This is a romantic and cozy restaurant. The food is delicious! Best seafood we found. Loved the atmosphere. Homemade Pottery gifts as well!

Bit off the beaten track. Totally worth the trip. Friendly staff providing excellent service serving delicious food. Do try the oysters. You can also opt for "comon" tasty fish and chips. Or pick your lobster.

I was looking for a seafood restaurant outside of downtown, and this one was a winner. Located right on the water, alongside a pier of sorts. Great, small, homely restaurant serving local seafood dishes as well as fantastic steaks on the specials list sometimes. Decent wine selection.

Absolutely fabulous oysters! Try the native ones, both raw and as the house signature dish, grilled in breadcrumbs and garlic. All seafood is outstanding, at surprisingly decent prices and with the decor and atmosphere feeling like an old local pub and eatery for friends. Highly recommended.

This is a really cute place and the staff were very friendly and nice, but to be honest, this was one of the worst seafood meals I've had. The oysters were warm as they weren't served on ice and didn't have flavor as they were only served with lemon. I almost spit them out they were so bad. The mussels were decent, but nothing special. The crab was served with a mayo sauce rather than a cocktail sauce. The smoked salmon was pretty good. Overall, didn't seem super crisp and fresh, but maybe I'm a seafood snob?
