I stayed there many years ago, in 2002, on a 15 day circuit of the east, south and west of Ireland beginning in Dublin and ending in the Connemara region, the village of Cliffden. We'd gone to the island with our stay already paid for, but only a few euros in our pockets. Once there we discovered they had no ATM on the island, and the cottage was a cab ride away. The owners had a fine restaurant there, and once they heard our story, they let us owe them. The Irish were like that everywhere, filled with helpful kindness. The cottages were very cosy, the views breathtaking, and the hospitality the best anyone could hope for.

Best place to stay on the island - just plan on a short bike-ride or cab ride to get there. Dun Aengus is just a short walk away and the cottage offers great views of the ocean. Joe and his wife were great hosts - they offer dinner and wine (for a fee) when you arrive and a great breakfast in the morning. Can't wait to come back!
