Fantastic bar. Spend most evenings here when in Waterville. You will not get fresher fish anywhere. Would also recommend the lamb shank. It’s a must go to for foodies and seafood lovers alike. . 5* for the lobster bar

Amazing staff! The food is delicious. The chowder has lovely big chunks of fish, very decent portion. 10 /10

A fantastic family run business in the heart of Waterville . Once u walk in the door until you leave you are made feel welcome! Food is outstanding the lobster is a must ! There is something for everybody! I would Highly recommend The Lobster Bar. If you are lucky enough to catch one of the music nights there you are in for a treat but make sure you come early as it gets very busy people queuing to come in. It's an Awesome place!! I know you will enjoy it😃👍.

Visited during a trip around the Ring of Kerry after seeing good Google reviews. Bitterly disappointed! At about 14 euros on average for a main, this place isn't cheap. In addition there is no table service (which is fine, but should have been reflected in the price in my opinion). The menu split between "buffet" and "made to order". The "buffet" isn't really a buffet, but rather a mini cafeteria where they have some options out on show for you to point at, and you stand in a line with a tray to be served. The food under the heaters here left much to be desired (we tried the roast chicken and the chowder), and it was all a bit dry and gloopy. Chowder portion was tiny, equivalent to a small soup bowl. Not sure what they are trying to gain from having this cafeteria section to be honest - it makes more sense to keep the entire menu within one kitchen, away from customers like normal pubs/restaurants! That way the food can also be covered instead of being left to dry out. From the made to order menu we tried the scampi. At 14.50 euros, we expected a good sized portion of fresh seafood. Instead it was pretty measly in size for the price, and although the seafood itself was fresh, the batter for the scampi really wasn't!

Overall I don't really understand why this place has 4+ on Google reviews. Would not recommend! Food is of poor quality and not at all value for money.

Definitely the place for seafood. Salmon was huge in its portion size and the seafood bisque was crammed with a variety of meat in a nice cream sauce.

Fantastic food, good value, fast excellent service, large portion sizes. This place does get quite busy though, we arrived at 6pm and were welcomed. A good place to eat for a family if you have kids. Very casual.
