It's a train station, basic but sure that's all it needs to be.

Two ticket barriers with two way traffic ,with people using them arriving and departing from the station at the same time,complete madness when you go outside the front of the station you're almost out on the road as the towpath is almost nonexistent, there is no lift for people with disabilities or walking difficulties if you need any help from the person behind the counter forget about it the drone is far too busy on their mobile.

Kilester station has a similar design to Raheny with two platforms.The station has a good DART service that is usually on time.Its accessable with ramps and information screens on each platform.There is an information desk and ticket machines in a small building tucked in on the southbound platform.The station has a 5-10 minute service during peak.Every 15 minutes off peak and every 20 minutes on a Sunday.
The original Kilester station was located beside the bridge on Colins Avenue.In 1923 it was relocated to its current location tucked in off the Howth Road.The station was a halt with a small hut as the station managers office where he could sell tickets.In 1984 DART services were introduced and station facilities were upgraded with a new building with a ticket office and etc.Along with new wheelchair ramps.In 2005 the station platform was upgraded to accommodate 8 coach trains.response / report this review -
