Nice, functional but ultimately uninspiring food in pleasant surroundings with friendly staff. That's not to say there's anything wrong with the food. For example, I recently got the warm beef salad. It was warm beef, cut into small chunks, thrown in on top of standard lettuce which caused it to mush somewhat, peppers and onion. If the beef had been presented as strips, cooked less, with let's say rocket on the side and the other vegetables, with a dressing, especially with something a little acidic in it as the whole meal was somewhat heavy tasting without it, then it would definitely be worth the €12 I spent. I've enjoyed many meals here, and the food, as I said, is fine, just not exceptional, and it easily could be

Stopped off in Katie's just off the Ferry on the way back from France. It looked good outside and its also good inside, well furnished; the staff are very attentive and friendly. The only thing i didn't like was a big screen above our table that we all had to stare at for the specials, even though we were given a menu. I ordered the Pasta which didn't lack in flavor but there was far too much, two people could have eaten it, and that actually came with a ciabatta roll, so there was just too much. As someone whos worked in restaurants before i would recommend them, if you're hungry then you'l love them.

Fast sevice delicious food. I am fairly fussy about my food an they always oblige and don't make a big deal over it. My favourite place to eat .

Steak was terrific - good size and perfectly cooked. My partner's plaice fish dish was over breaded and I was glad I did not select it. The starter and main course salad were very, very disappointing - very jaded with lettuce going black at edges. Spoke to waiter who made a lame excuse about them but manager did not come and apologise or discuss. Not sure what floor staff's instructions are when negative comments are given. Most Irish people do not like to complain but I was embarrassed to have to. Premises could do with a refurbishment.

Really good home cooked style food. Lots of options, consistently good and good sized portions, chunky chips are great, as are the bangers and mash. Great staff.
