We had fun for a good 3 hours walking around the trails with an audio guide. We weren't just looking at replicas of stone age, bronze age and later structures (although I'd be fine with that) there were lots of little details (lit fires, hidden bones, hanging food items, and incidental carvings). The walking includes some hills which may be tough on creaky bones but there were several toilets and seating areas. You also come round on the restaurant a few times if you need a break (the chowder was great). We also caught a glimpse of several activity spaces for archery, stone carving, blacksmithing, and saw the birds used for falconry.

One of my favourite parks. It is a lovely walk, with beautiful views, bringing you through the history of Ireland from the beginning to the british invasion. Definitely worth a visit if down this way. Staff friendly, decent café (although they did not have non-dairy milk (In this day and age??) or vegan options, and a good shop with loads of Irish stuff.
Worth a visit, but if you do not know much about Irish history, I'd recommend taking the tour. I know the history, so I prefer to do things in my own time and spend more time at them.response / report this review -

Great place to walk through a nice park and learn about old Irish history. They've done a very good job of recreating about 16 historical sites, Showing how people lived. Good cafe, friendly staff and plenty of free car parking. Recommended.

This is a great place to stop for lunch. The food looks and is delicious. We had the most wonderful Chowder- full of great fish and so creamy and hot with really lovely soda bread and butter. Great value for money. They give you great pot of tea at a very reasonable price. No charge for parking and clean comfortable toilets.

You enter into a delightful woodland walk through the story of the settlement of people in Ireland. From stone age through bronze age, Viking and mediaeval building skillfully recreated and imaginatively displayed dioramas. Thoroughly recommended.

Nice place to spend an afternoon and learn about old Irish history with 15 reconstructions of houses and dolmens. The restaurant serves good food and drinks in generous proportions for an affordable price. The downside is the lack of free WiFi. Beware there is not much network there.

Nice place to visit, but take note: all of the attractions on the tour are replicas of historical sites. Having said that they are masterfully reproduced in full scale.
The tour progresses from early settlers through to Viking settlements.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and encouraged questions and participation.

Very enjoyable. kids ( 5 & 8) fully entertained and involved throughout. Best to do a tour. It is covered n the entrance fee and you get the knowledge of the guide with a good few jokes thrown in.

Lovely spot to bring the family, nice walk and tour. We forgot to bring home some baby gear and they very helpful held it for us after we called. Well recommend.
