There are plenty of rooms none of them too large.so every piece of art gets its own space for you to enjoying it, not over shadowed by prominent neighbours.
Quite a large museum with few exhibits - the work is modern so can be quite hard to 'understand' but it can be appreciated. The parking was also pretty cheap but this would have been so much better had there been more art to look at
Great place for a day trip. Massive gardens. I'm not usually in to museums or art but definitely worth a look.
Weird food in cafe. Seems designed to suit staff not customers. Rest rooms good. Parking good. Bit hard to find on sat nav. Exhibitions hit and miss
I have been to a few modern art museums now... I guess I’m just one of those people that doesn’t “get it”. It’s alright, but I just wouldn’t go out of my way for the exhibits we ended up seeing.
The actual building itself is very stylish though and worth checking out if you are passing through.
Beautiful building and well-maintained gardens. Some of the permanent art exhibits outside are quite odd, but it is a nice place to visit if you are near Kilmainham Gaol or Heuston Station.
Great selection of modem art. It's no MoMA, but still worth a trip to see. Plus, the buildings and the grounds are nice for a walk.
An oasis of peace and inspiration. Curators/guides are wonderful. Knowledgeable and so friendly. I'll be back again and again.
1 for the museum, 5 for the grounds. I have never been so confused by art as I was in this museum. But definitely go to walk around the outside (which is free!).
Can't say too much because an entire wing was closed off due to refurbishment. Cafeteria in basement has a good choice of food/drinks on offer. Free Wifi is good for tourists.
