Hiding up an unassuming flight of stairs is this gem of a restaurant. Fully authentic Italian with all Italian staff. The food is wonderful and the service excellent too. The staff don't stop going all night and are very attentive and friendly.
Its not cheap but worth every penny. We enjoyed it so much we went back the next night and they cooked my wife's favourite dish to order. Perfection!
This gets busy so pre-booking is advisable.

This is a favourite restaurant for many in Athlone Good selection on menu and reasonably priced too. Staff are friendly and helpful. You can bring your own wine with a small charge for corkage and you can order drinks from bar downstairs. It gets very busy at weekends so booking is advisable .

Fantastic food and excellent service! Great value too, no reason not to go!

My Fiance and I decided at the last minute to go out for dinner. It was our first time in Il Colosseo and were recommended by a friend to try it. We had no reservation and even though they were very busy, they managed to accommodate us very well. My Fiance is gluten intolerant and this was no issue at all for Il Colosseo. We had starters, main and desert. All absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend.
