A beautiful family Guest House with amazing hosts. Located on right on Donegal's Wild Atlantic Way. If you stay once, you will 100% return again.

Brilliant B&B
Hosts Rosie and Davie were very friendly and so helpful.
Cooked breakfast was first class with the Sausages and Black pudding the best I have ever tasted.
Room was beautiful and great comfy bed. I can't wait to return.response / report this review -

Davie and Rosie could not have been more welcoming. Extremely professional but also great for a chat and gave great advice about food in the local area. Rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, especially the black pudding. Like a home from home, great little spot. 10/10 will definitely stay here when in the area again.

Apologies for the long review but I'd be doing the location, guest house & owners and injustice if I didn't review properly.
My girlfriend had booked a weekend away to this lovely guest house for us both for my birthday. I did not look at any reviews or even the location because I wanted it to be a surprise. And what a surprise it was. I have to tell you categorically that the owners "Davie & Rosie" are the most welcoming friendliest people I've ever had the pleasure to met. The experience they both give us and very close friends, was beautiful and accommodating to say the least.
The rooms themselves were both cosy, clean & exactly what we look for no dust, clean fresh aroma and beautiful furniture. The atmosphere was quite and quint, but humble and comfortable to the highest degree. They also greeted us with a huge smiles and warmth. Supplied us wifi codes each and made sure we had everything we needed.
That's just the start. The visit got better and better.
We decided to take it easy on the arrival night, explained we just wanted good food and a nice environment. Little did we know Davie and Rosie had made calls to the restaurant they had suggested to us to "look after us" and that they did. Before leaving Davie and Rosie knew the reason why we were there and brought fourth a bottle of champagne on ice before we left, and even had a lift organised personally from them to the restaurant.
We sipped champagne in the beautiful lounge and laughed. Then Davie personally escorted to the restaurant.
On arrival he spoke with staff, after he left the staff had another bottle of complimentary champagne ready for us. Unbelievable service and food.
The breakfast:-
WOW!!!!!! The black pudding is something else, never ever had we had black pudding like it and being Irish this is huge. Davie and Rosie provided a selection of breakfasts but there open furnace and quint surroundings just fitted. The food was cooked perfectly and the service was second to none. The couple prepare the breakfast personally. Try the black pudding It's unbelievable.
To sum it all up, Davie and Rosie are Herons Cove, however it's just a building that is no doubt beautiful but, realistically it's just a building. What this couple present to you, goes far an beyond anything we have ever experienced. Warmth, comfort, friendly, gentle, good food, and the list could go on
Stay here and tell all your friends, bring your family to Herons cove to be met by another beautiful family. They have owned the guest house 6 months only but they seemed seasoned and extremely professional and courteous.
Side note.
Shower is amazing strong powerful and warm.
On the Saturday night Rosie drove us personally to the cosiest bar in town in Ballyshannon. She refused to let us pay for a taxi in.

Our one night visit to Heron`s Cove was perfect in every way. The hotel was quiet, restful and we were warmly received by the gracious hosts. Food was not being served but we were directed to our choice of 3 different eateries in the vicinity, the menus of which were displayed in reception of Heron`s Cove. Our breakfast the following morning was in a most beautiful space, bright and tastefully decorated. I will definitely make this a must stay for our next visit to Donegal. Many thanks to Davy and Rosie for such a genuine welcome.

My husband and I had a very enjoyable stay at Herons Cove. The owners Davy & Rosie are very lovely and hospitable. Beautiful clean spacious accommodation and lovely breakfast.. We would defiantly stay again and would highly recommend it.
