Paddy and Ann Dowling, the owners of the Glenmalure Lodge are so laid back, they're almost horizontal.

This reflects in the staff. No matter what you ask, the answer's always, No problem.

They made us feel so welcome, and are pet friendly. Perfect for us as our dog Leo goes everywhere we go .

If you want industrial scale tourism, Go to Glendalough. If you need the other end of the spectrum, try Glenmalure.

Old style pub with lots of history on the walls. Food was really good and great size portions. I had the peppered supreme chicken the Bf had hake. Staff very friendly and I'll definitely visit here again.

A very well run, cozy, comfortable and warm place to eat, drink and stay. The bar is full of interesting maps, local information and history. Rooms were perfect. Staff are helpful and friendly and the food and drinks are great. I try to return here as often as possible.

Good pub. To say the truth I got very under cooked steak once, it looked like it was just about to run away from the plate. Didn't bother me too much it was fixed on the spot. I was here twice and always received good service.

The lodge itself was nice and had a very cozy and rustic feel. The restaurant below was very well organized and had great meal options as you sit beside the wood fireplace. The only complaint is that the bed was very uncomfortable and neither I nor my spouse slept much that night. Pity, since the rest was so enjoyable.
