Old fashioned hospitality in beautiful surrounding. A guesthouse/restaurant/cafe with excellent food and service. Right in the heart of the town but retains an old-world feel, with a beautiful courtyard in front, ideal for a relaxed al fresco lunch, weather permitting. Family run establishment.

We stopped on our way back to Dublin for lunch here and the staff were lovely and very helpful. I forgot my phone and the ever helpful Pauline said she will send it to me by post. The next day I got a phone call from Mary saying she was on her way here in Dublin and she dropped my phone to my office. Thank you guys and definitely when I get back to Ro

Food was spot on delicious..latte, cappuccino, bread pudding, burger, goats cheese and chicken saladall prepared beautifully. Staff attentive and friendly. Hotel gorgeous.

Gleeson's hotel in Roscommon is a very atmospheric place, built in the 19th century, it has 19 guest rooms and a very comfortable dining room. When we visited, the staff couldn't have been more welcoming, so much so that we've booked a stay later in the year

Breakfast nice and rooms are clean, however no sound insulation between the rooms. Can hear guest enter and exist the front door of the hotel (this would be fine on its own). I have had to stay at the hotel due to working temporarily in the area 4 times ranging from 1 night to 3 nights, each stay I have be woken up by returning guests after 12 midnight who will either have a 15-20 minute loud drunk conversations or who return back to their rooms and turn on TVs and leave them on for the rest of the night. As there is no night staff you cannot request assistance with the disturbance. If I have to work in the area again and there are no other hotel rooms available in the area I will leaving my own house at 6:50AM and commute rather than stay at the hotel and not get a nights sleep.

Nice welcome, good rooms with all the standard facilities (free Wi-Fi a bonus). Had 1 dinner and 2 breakfasts and all were decent. Location could not be better. Will be my first choice when I go back.

Very comfortable B&B. Staff very friendly and made you feel very welcome. Complimentry tea or coffee on arrival very welcome. Breakfast was very tasty with a good variety.
