Nice around the lakes, but whoever is responsible for cutting down the trees has left the place looking very rough. The forestry floor shouldn’t be left looking like this. Lazy attempt.

Few years ago grate place to spent some time with friends and family. After they put down so many trees it looks not so good. I wish to rebuild state from 2011y

There are so many other places that are more worth your time, all this place is is a lake that you walk around on a build bridge / walkway, you don't even really feel that you are out in nature at all, and this was listed as a "Hike", not to mention; the drive to it on a gravel road messed up my car too. Not worth your time at all

Picturesque spot and a lovely moderate walk. Aside from 9-5 in the busy months the gate closes for cars which is a pain!

A must do! If you don't mind a bit of walking, park your car at the first car park and just follow the track. You will be rewarded with fantastic views

Lovely location which is in the process of being transformed from a coniferous to broad-leaved woodland which will improve the bio diversify. The board walk provides a great route around Lough Carun, and the water reflects the pinks of the surrounding mountains beautifully. Expect to see some significant numbers of felled trees.

Lovely place on a lovely day. If the sun is out and bright this is the place where you should be. Lovely walk around the lake. Might take 1-2 hours.
