My wife and I could not have been happier with the customer service the young woman gave us at Europcar Dublin,nothing was a problem and she had a bright happy attitude. We loved the car and the in car GPS saved any navigation problems. We loved Dublin and the people of Ireland ,we will be back. Thanks Shane Duncan

We got ripped off by this location and recommend staying far far away. They found a scrape on a panel BELOW the front bumper and charged us over $900!! And the bumper already had documented damage from previous drivers! The area where the damage is could have only been caused by driver error - and it absolutely didn't happen in our care. We suspect the damage was there prior to us receiving the car considering that the scrape was hard to spot (you literally had to bend down and look below the bumper). They missed it the first time and passed the damage onto us. I even took a video of the entire car when we received it, but because the damage was again UNDERNEATH the bumper, the video didn't pick it up. Our Dublin family members said we got the "old Irish rinse" which is apparently slang for getting taken advantage of. Shameful.
I've emailed Europcar numerous times and have not received a single reply. Please learn from our error and stay away from this company.response / report this review -

Very slow to complete the process of picking up a reserved car, and they didn't have the type of van on hand that I'd reserved months prior. The staff was friendly and helpful, but overall they could do a lot of things better.

Fast check in, the check out is very easy to drop off and lots of signs to follow to the Dublin airport. They provide a shuttle to bring you right to your departure gate. Great experience.

Welcoming staff with clear explanation for the beginning of the rental. Good car. Return to the airport . A pain. Not clear were the return point was, fee to return it, no shuttle to return to the airport hotel even if the staff told us that it was possible. Overall rating , I will look for other renting car company to be more efficient. Have a good day

Lombard street pickup location in Dublin is well served by public transport. Staff is friendly and very helpful. The discounted fuel policy (were you pay for the full tank but allowed to bring the car empty) is very attractive, especially for the tourists who might not know the cheapest place to fill up the car, and the price offered is really below the price filling stations charge. Car itself was in a perfect condition and a dream to drive. Overall very positive experience

We had a great experience with Europcar. We were able to upgrade for a slightly larger vehicle with a more efficient engine for only $10. They were very helpful and efficient with getting us on the road despite a very problematic group in front of us. They handled everyone very professionally. Drop off was also fantastic, only took 2 minutes. I handed them the keys, they walked around the car, and we were good to go. A shuttle was there ready to take us the rest of the way to the airport, it was wonderful!

Pretty bad.
Check in: staff pretty unclear & cold.
Check out: doing an accident report for a tiny spot in the plastic protection of the wheel (more a company policy problem even if the staff was also quite eager to find something wrong).
So, in addition to our 1300€ deposit they took 300€ (taken)

I often rent cars with Europcar and I only had positive experiences so far. The staff I dealt with was very professional, efficient and transparent, always available and focused on making my rental experience as easiest and smoothest as possible. Very satisfied.

Good option for renting cars in Dublin. Located right in the center of the town. The staff is friendly and understanding. The prices are quite good. Highly recommended for 2 or 3 day car hire.

The staff in the Dublin City Center depot are absolutely delightful and really helpful. I love the fact that everything is transparent and that when we bring the car back we know straight away if there is any problem or issue. Excellent customer service already rented a couple of times and no way I will change my rental company. The staff is one of the loveliest I've seen so far and always smiling even during busy hours. The car was good and did do the job, I have nothing more to say then.
Lovely service nice cars and cost wise one of the best available in Dublin :)response / report this review
