  This is what one would call a perfect restaurant. They had it all organized from top to bottom. We got a shuffle down from the hotel we were staying at just up the road. When we arrived we were quickly sat at the bar and ordered our food. We played a game of cards with our drinks and when we decided to sit down we did and shortly after the food arrived. The food was great and so was the atmosphere. There was live music and every table seemed taken but somehow they still managed to keep traffic coming in and happy people leaving. Then when we were finished the shuffle driver came and picked us up at our table. Overall it was a great experience.

  Was at the elm tree on Friday night .
  very very disappointed 😔 again .
  I have given then the benefit of doubt several times . Not any more . My friend ordered well done steak it was medium rare . Over 18 months this has happened on 5 occasions. We keep telling them when ordering make sure it's well done .
  That's one part of the problem. How it was handled was appalling. Owner we met on arrival . When we complained ran for his life . The staff were very helpful and apologetic and would not have a bad word to say to them . Offered us a reduction on meal , which we refused . Won't be back again. It's nice to have a beautiful restaurant but don't forget repeat customers are very good for business.

  I love eating here. I've had lunch at the Elm Tree on so many occasions and the food is always amazing. My favourite being the Chimi Changa. A delicious spicy chicken wrap with chip and coleslaw. I highly recommend trying it. They also offer a tasty carvery lunch as well. The coffee is great and there's a bar too, wines, beers and so forth.

  The food is a hit and miss. When it's good it's really good but you can get a bad serving as well. The service is not the best - especially during lunch times.

  Lovely food and decor in the restaurant Except for Sunday carvery. It has won awards for it's carvery and the food served is top quality but not my ideal dining experience. You have to queue with a tray like in a school canteen which is not what I pay €14(ish) for. Then if the usual restaurant table isn't available, you are bright to their event room where there's long pop up tables to eat at. The staff are very helpful throughout though

  Was very good, not excellent. Fantastic presentation, but food was OK, my wife's potato gratin was stone cold, roast veg burned, chips refried. Not cheap got a wow but then let down, maybe just a bad day in the kitchen, can happen

  Great looking restaurant, ideal for a date. Food is nice and cheap compare to other places. The best restaurant in Ireland so far. They have bar!
