Best shop for traditional music in Ennis. They even offer a good selection of Irish sean-nós singing. Relaxed atmosphere. Good service. CD's, instruments and sheet music.

Custy's is the most prominent musical instrument shop in Ennis, as far as I can tell. It's in the heart of downtown Ennis, a stone's throw from the O'Connell statue.
Good instruments of all types, from whistles and bodhrans to accordions (the irish call them "boxes") and fiddles. Decent pricing. A good selection of accessories, CDs and what not. Not a touristy rip-off. No, Not here. In fact, this store is frequented by some of the shining lights of Irish music. Donal Lunny, Christy Moore, etc. It's the best shop in Co. Clare. So maybe that explains it.
Not a lot of Chinese-made crap in here either. So that's a good thing. Some quality control at work. Yerra, you couldn't go wrong in here. No.response / report this review
