My favorite pub while I was in Dublin. Great Guinness. You meet people from all over the globe. Just up the street from Jameson. Owner looks like Bill Clinton and grew a beard so people would stop asking him to take their pix with him. He, his family and friends can be found in front playing the pipes. Amazing place to go.

Authentic Irish pub with truly traditional, folk music. Minus was there is no sound system that would make you hear the music better. The place isn't big though, so it compensates. Guinnesscan get better taste in some other bars.

This was far and away my favorite place we frequented while in Dublin. Excellent music, friendly staff, and great pints. There's no amplification, so you do have to wedge in and get a little friendly if you want to hear, but it's worth it.

Very traditional locals pub. Please be aware that because the musicians play music without microphones you will need to stand next to them to hear anything. Otherwise this place is located in a locals only neighborhood that allow you to see what new Dublin looks like outside of the tourist circuit

Small Traditional Irish Pub with mostly locals a guests and plenty of Live traditional music. I'd argue that it's a better place for Live music than any of the Temple Bar's pubs

This was recommended to us by a couple of local lads we were drinking with earlier in the day. We went on a Sunday night and it was JAM PACKED. It's a good thing though. Great atmosphere and they had a music venue in the back room.

A must visit hidden-gem for music lovers, tourists and passers-by. Not sure of the frequency but few times I went there they had a bunch of local talented musicians, improvising together. Violin, singing, story-telling, everything fits so authentically into that place.

Great traditional music every evening. The first Sunday of every month a group called "The night before Larry got stretched" sing songs. You nominate yourself if you like or just sit and listen and join in the chorus.
