Awesome scenery and great equipment. Sean the owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. Makes for a lovely escape from Dublin for the weekend. There is the option of wild camping for those who want to get away from it all. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic place. You haven't seen cavan until you've explored it from a canoe! The staff here are great and have wonderful boats!

Cavan Canoes is great, really beautiful lakes and Sean and Aisling are incredibly helpful. We took our 3 kids (13, 9 and 6). The younger kids hadn't kayaked before and the 6 year old wasn't too keen. Sean & Ashling sorted us out with the right combination of boats and we had a great day: even brought our dog along! Can't recommend highly enough

Cannot recommend this place enough. We called on short notice this Sunday and Sean was very accommodating (you should call a day before your trip to ensure availability)
The scenery is absolutely stunning and we were the only ones on the water except for a few fishing boats.

We thought we got lost a couple of times, but Sean's instructions where clear and if you stick to them, you should not have a problem navigating the lakes with the map

The price for a 4 hour rental of two-seater kayak and equipment was very reasonable.

We'll definitely be back with friends and family!

My husband Michael & I spent a wonderful afternoon in July canoeing in Cavan and visited Clough Oughter Castle on route. Sean the owner, provided the kayaks, wet suits, left jackets as well as advice and suggestions as to appropriate route. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience of canoeing as well as the local scenery. Compared to the rough and tidal waters of Sydney Harbour and the Hawkesbury it was a 'walk in the park'. Loved it! Connie
