It was, overall, okay. That's not what I want from a hostel. The room was small, but it was good for us and we had space. The bathrooms and kitchen were clean, but walking to them sucked. The whole place was very inviting for about 2 hours. The staff were helpful but hard to find, and we didn't really want to go outside and ring a bell every time we wanted to ask a question. The beds were a nice size, but uncomfortable and I got very little sleep. It was nice for a night, and I'm sure if you came with friends it would be fun but we were bored
The room were cozy and nice. The beds were clean and great. Will return again. The only bad thing was that the area was mostly "cash only".
Front desk clerk was very nice and provided us with free passes to the nearby castle, staff was very nice and accommodating.
Great place, usually quiet except for the bank holiday periods. Clean rooms, friendly staff and good prices ! Recommended to anyone who wants to have a good time !
The positive things: The Hostel is situated in the centre, very close to the Rock of Cashel and in the kitchen is a lot stuff for cooking.
The negative things: everything else. We just slept two hours because of the very bad behavior of the guys next door. It was terrible. Screaming all the time, throwing doors and talking in volume that was not sustainable. No one from the hostel even cared about it.
The rooms are too small, the price is too high, a lot of things are dirty. We will never come back.
It was great
I had a great time at this hostel in June. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Went to the local bar with PJ, KT, Jessie and had a great chat with them. They offer free voucher to visit The Rock of Cashel. Very historical. Saved us €7 per person. The rooms are cozy and clean with free wifi and computer in the living room with fire place . Big kitchen for cooking and outdoor backyard for BBQ or a great place there to hang out with other guests.
Check out TripAdvisor here i have photos of the interior of the hostel serious work needs doing sorry so many photos are repeated
Cashel Holiday Hostel, 6 John St, Cashel, Co. Tipperary, Ireland, is a great place to stay in, vey clean and the people there are very clean. I recommend it for everyone .
I was welcomed into this beautiful hostel by the owner with great hospitality and I was very happy because it was so affordable. The rooms are of a good quality and the price was cheap. The location is perfect. It is on the doorstep to the town of Cashel. Within only a five minute walking distance of the Rock of Cashel , it is a great choice of accommodation if you are looking to explore this amazing town by foot. I would recommend this hostel to any tourists staying or passing through Cashel.
