I never been to the Buteyko Clinc, but if I had the money and time I would go! So, instead of going to the Buteyko clinic, I studied the method as presented by Patrick McKeown. I watched all his youtube videos, read his books and bought his DVDs. I highly recommend you do the same.

Let me give you background information about me before I discovered Mr. McKeown's work. I am a very fit person, yet I had high blood pressure my whole life. I travel all around America to specialist to find a solution. However, none of the doctors could figured out why I had such HBP. It was always the same diagnosis - it was genetics.

I was still not convinced this was the problem because nobody in my family had a history of hypertension. so, I took the alternative health approach and went to acupuncturist, herbalist, Chinese medicine, you name it and tried it. Nothing helped. The only thing that came close was when I went to sleep specialist and discovered that I had sleep apnea.

The PAP machine helped, but my BP was still hide. I was about to give up and give in to being hooked on HBP the rest of my life when I discovered the Buteyko method.

This method changed my life! I used to be a chronic mouth breather.

I was skeptical at first since, I literally tried everything to lower my BP but with no luck. However, after I did the exercises that Patrick lined up, my pressure became normal after about couple of months of training.

This was over a year ago. I am now off meds and my pressure NEVER gets above 139/89.

I am forever indebted to this technique form "close your mouth."

You will be too if you have HBP or allergies/asthma. I gave this book/DVD to a friend, and he no longer has to do asthma inhalers as well.

If you have the money and opportunity, go to this clinic.

It will be the best thing you have ever done for your life.
    Good luck
    Jack

I've suffered with chronic asthma for years. I would have infections in my lungs for most of the year, I was always on antibiotics and steroids and hospitalised multiple times over the years. I completed Patrick's Buteyko class last February I am now into my tenth month without having an infection this is the longest I have ever gone without being sick. Every three months I go to see my respiratory consultant and he reduces my asthma medication. Doing this course and practising the methods of Buteyko has given me my life back. 😀

I attended Patrick McKeown's presentation where he demonstrated the power of slow nasal breathing to clear your sinuses and decrease overall inflammation of the lungs. Great teacherFabulous content! Particularly enjoyed the audience participation.

I’ve been reading”Close your mouth” a couple of times. Each time I’ve learned something more about breathing.
Later on I read The Oxygen Advantage also an excellent book.
Please treat yourself with both books – you will not regret it!
Having had asthma and COPD both books has been invaluable to me. I use no medications today.
