Such a special place. This is our favourite place to visit. The food is always amazing, seasonal delights from the organic kitchen gardens that are so full of flavour. Catherine greets us with her friendly smile & the team are so attentive & friendly. We love the gardens & each time we visit we find a new favourite spot. We stayed in the Stable Yard accommodation recently & felt so at home & so welcomed by Joanna & James, everything was carefully considered & Lesley's insights into the gardens & history of the house & gardens was fascinating.
We can't wait to return.

We had our wedding in Burtown House last July , it was like a dream! Food , venue , staff was amazing! This review is overdue but honestly couldn't ask more for a better venue to have the wedding! Once again thank you James and Joanna for making our dream come true!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏☘️🇹🇷☘️🇹🇷☘️🇹🇷

Okay food. Not value FOR money and services not GOOD. Deserts dry cup of herbal tea was cold. But tasted GOOD. Took long time to serve the food. paid to visit the garden and its a joke. Plant are dead or dying. Walk is threatened by a huge dog. Not much of a walk and its not looked after. Had visitors from abroad and embarrassed abour whole thing.

An excursion that I left from with a feeling of unfulfilled potential. Very nice setting and venue but the Sunday menu lacks consistency with it's kitchen garden design. I felt that the pricing is on the high side, especially for entry to gardens!

Green barn cafe has great food and decor. Gardens a treat especially if you like sculpture

A good offering but tending towards over-expensive. €17 for a (starter size?) fish pie. The admission to the gardens is also steep considering the area. Worth visiting to make up your own mind. 3 or 4 star review? I'll be generous and give 4 stars for effort.
