Amazing place attracts very interesting people. Don't go to Clifden. Escape the WiFi and TV screens and come to Ben Lettery Hostel. It is my sanctuary. When you see the sunrise over the dewy hills and snagged trees you will understand. See below taking the three hoofed goat and teethless dog being taken for a walk. Ben Lettery Youth Hostel!!! For the youthful at heart (young and old)

I must thank Sam for looking after us. We got delayed and checked in at around 00:30 mid night only to receive a pleasant and warm welcome from Sam. Easily the best hostel out of few I checked into. I couldn't meet the goat as it was raining a bit. Will visit again for sure.. Chantel the dog loves cuddles if you mind.

I have to say I've been staying at multiple hostels while traveling around Ireland and this one offered the most unique, welcoming experience out of every one I've stayed at. The owner Sam is full of suggestions no matter what you want to do, and she went out of her way to make sure I was safe when hiking Benlettery. I needed hiking boots and she didn't hesitate to lend me hers free of charge! I felt at home here and loved the environment, especially GoGo her goat and the lovable dog Chantel, no complaints!

This hostel is well located, particularly for those who enjoy the outdoors, trekking, national parks and 🐑 😉. Managed by Sam, with her trusty sidekicks Chantal and GoGo, you cannot ask for a warmer welcome.

It's a great location. Very friendly and helpful warden. Great location, close to Clifden and some beautiful scenery and great mountain hikes.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. We were so exhausted from our hike to do much other than sleep but we got a very friendly welcome from both the manager and the three legged pet goat!

A thousand thank you from the four frenchies you welcomed yesterday so warmly.
You entered for sure in our Ireland trip story. Ireland was so cold before meeting you!

Great experience. Very low-key. Kitchen was over the top. Quarters were quiet and spacious. Not a typical hostel experience with students all over the place all the time. It's more chill, but that's what makes it great.
