In 2001, a couple bought a bramble covered hillside sloping down to the sea. They levelled it and planted with rhododendrons, tree ferns, palm trees and 100s of species of bamboo. The result is a magical maze of a subtropical wood with mossy paths and amazing views of the bay. Good shoes useful. There are toilets and a tearoom.
Great place, not so good on a wet day with young children (Defo bring boots)
A magical place. It like a place from Game of Thrones, like Dorn, etc. Very cool.
amazing place, tropical forest on irish coast. if the weather is good you may some chill out :)
Nice place, small though. Dog friendly.
Nice place to visit when you're nearby but there is no point to go just for it
Amazing It was like being in a mini Thailand .. breathtaking views of the coast
The place is beautifully covered with bamboo plants and massive fern trees. The walks are easy with great views towards the harbour. You can even walk around the owner's chalet. The only negative thing is that just when we finished our walk and couldn't wait to get a tea and cake in the coffee shop, it closed at 4pm which I thought was early and considering we were still visiting.
