Great environment. The bar and the event room were spacious and nicely decorated. The food was nice and the staff helpful.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Warm welcome, historic house with good bedroom extension. Leisure centre with pool and outdoor hot tub. Worth strolling to see Dolmen on grounds too

Very good conference facilities but beware Google Maps which tried to send me down a narrow lane and through a closed back gate. If it happens to you turn right and then left. Jammy Dodgers were available as part of the mid-morning refreshments, which is worth a gold star in its own right.

Excellent hotel, perfect for a quiet relaxing break. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is well managed and maintained. The rooms are large and clean, food is excellent in the bar or restaurant.
The gym and pool are very good.
If you like golf, the hotel has an 18 hole course. There are also tennis courts and loads of walking and sightseeing nearby.
I've been in 5* hotels that could learn a few lessons from this hotel.response / report this review -

I didn't stay in the actual hotel but I was at a wedding. The hotel looks amazing , the grounds are beautifully looked after. At the wedding I was unable to get a cocktail which was disappointing . The price of a pint isn't for the faint hearted neither. 7 euro ! Get the vodka in the clutch bag save your self a few quid. If your into golf your in luck . The hotel is surrounded by a golf course from the looks of it half descent.

Can't fault the Ballymac ! The hotel is beautiful, rooms are huge. With most having views out over the hills and gardens. Beds are great, food is great and the staff have always been attentive and friendly.

An upmarket hotel with clean, well appointed rooms and comfortable beds. Good food and service in the restaurant with what I would consider a good wine list. The grounds offer some excellent views, golf and a health resort
