My large extended family and I were very pleased with our stay at Ballyhannon Castle. The owner, Margaret, is very pleasant and was there to greet us when we arrived as scheduled. The tower house (we did not rent the Coach house) is very well appointed and helps create the ambiance we were looking for. Linens and housewares were all clean and in order. Heating can be controlled on site or remotely, which worked fine for our party. The three toilets and two showers were clean and functioning properly. The same was true for the stove and grill. The grounds were well maintained. The main thing we sought during our weekend at Ballyhannon Castle was the feeling of staying in a castle and we got that feeling and enjoyed it very much.

The most amazing experience my family and I have ever had!! Every holiday my family goes through a book of photos we took on the trip, and it never fails to bring the happiest of tears to everybody. If Ireland is your destination, you will do no better than a stay at Ballyhannon Castle. Waking every morning to walk down the stone steps to the kitchen, past the old dining table, then to drink coffee in the common room while looking out the frosted windows at the landscape for miles around, while in minutes of any amenity we could ask. My family and I have our memories, I hope you have a chance to make yours!
