This place is a gem! The owner is a very welcoming and nice person who took great care of us. The rooms are big and spacious, and extremely clean - probably the most clean room on our entire Ireland trip. The bathroom was very nice with both a shower and a bathtub. The location is quiet and calm, easy to find just by the road and a short walk/drive from the town center. Comfortable beds ensured us a good nights sleep. The breakfast was also very nice and good. All in all a great stay!

Five stars isn't enough for this place. From David's warm and gregarious demeanor to Doreen's scrumptious scrambled eggs, this stay was definitely a highlight of our trip. In addition to giving us a wonderful recommendation for dinner (and calling ahead to let the owner know we were coming, even close to last-seating), David took quite some time to map out ideas for the rest of our trip going up the coast, as he realized our current itinerary was unrealistic. Based on his suggestions, we did a cruise around the Cliffs of Moher and able to enjoy some other ventures we would not have thought of ourselves, having never been to Ireland. The room was large, well appointed and immaculate. Our only regret is that we had only planned a one-night stay. Can't wait to go back!

Stayed here for two nights on a long weekend and had a lovely time. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and nothing seemed to be a bother.
The place is located just outside the main area of Ballybunion and has some lovely views. The property itself is well kept, clean, cosy and modern. The dining area is a gorgeous room with beautiful views and a great place for breakfast.
We had the family room (room 5) and it was one of the better rooms we have had as a family. The beds were nice and comfy and plenty of space and a nice clean bathroom. Two single beds for the kids and some nice comfy armchairs to relax in.
Breakfast is delicious and superbly made and is available from 8.30 - 10.00am. While it is extra €10 per person, you can fill yourself up and it will last you throughout the day.
At night when you are resting, there is a good selection of TV channels.
Overall a great place to stay in Ballybunion, a premium B&B which isn't cheap but provides good quality for the higher rate.
Make sure you ask David about the local attractions and if you enjoy your golf, he will be a treasure of knowledge.response / report this review -

Wir hatten leider nur für 1 Nacht das Vergnügen im besten B&B Irlands einzukehren. So schöne, so grosse, so gepflegte Zimmer und Bäder zu einem solch guten Preis hatten wir sonst nirgends. Der Chef persönlich verwöhnte uns, seine Ratschläge, das perfekte Frühstück, einfach alles war 100 % gut. - Schon nur für dieses Hotel würde es sich lohnen eine weitere Irlandreise zu unternehmen und länger im Tides zu verweilen. Danke!

A truly wonderful experience. David and Doreen run a wonderful, friendly and very comfortable guest house. David is a wonderful front of house host with an unsurpassed knowledge of Ireland's golf courses and a repertoire of stories to keep you entertained at breakfast. Doreen's cooking is absolutely superb, the Pancakes are amazing.
The rooms and ensuites are very spacious and comfortable and the showers have great water pressure, ideal for a hot shower after a round of golf. Although the amazing massage chair in the lounge room would take some beating to work out the knots and tired muscles.
I can't recommend The Tides highly enough it is what all B&B guest houses should aspire too and can't wait to go back in the future. Thank you Dave and Doreen.response / report this review -

Das BESTE Guesthouse, in dem wir jemals waren. Nach dem herzlichem Empfang haben wir unser erstklassiges Zimmer (besser gesagt Wohnung) bezogen. Hier gab es alles, was das Herz begehrt. Eigenes Badezimmer (in Irland nicht immer üblich), Tee und Kaffezubereiter, Külschrank, Fernseheralso wirklich Alles. Das Zimmer wurde jeden Tag gereinigt, wie im Übrigen das ganze Haus einen super sauberen Eindruck hinterlassen hat. Auch die Außenanlagen waren top gepflegt. Beim Frühstück ist man auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen und es hat an Nichts gemangelt. Doreen hat uns jeden Morgen mit einen super leckeren Frühstück verwöhnt. Irish Breakfast mit hammermäßigen Pancakes! Der Haushherr David hatte immer einen super Tip für Ausflüge und konnte uns mit viel Hintergrundinfos versorgen. Da braucht man keinen Urlaubsplaner oder Reiseführer mehr. Wir haben die 4 Nächte hier genossen und uns wie zu Hause bei Freunden gefühlt. Auf jeden Fall kommen wir wiederin das unserer Meinung nach beste Guesthaus in Irland!
The Tides is the best Guesthouse in Ireland! When we arrived, we checked in our room. Here we found everything we need. In suite bathroom, tea/ Coffeemaker, Fridge, TV.The room was cleaned every day and the comlete Guesthouse was the cleanest we ever have lived in! The whole plot was so nice and neat. At breakfast Doreen and David fulfilled all our wishes and the ireish breakfast fast the Hammer! So tastey pancakesyou must try out. David hat a good idea for roundtrips every day with so mans helpful detailled information to the sites. If you have David, you never need a tripadvisor! Thanks so much. We really enjoyed the 4 nights at the Tides and felt like at home with friends. We definitely will come back to the best guesthouse in Ireland!!response / report this review
