Lovely picturesque setting, the gift shop is expensive but quality is top notch. Food is always good too.

The cafe upstairs has good views if you can get a table. Tourist trap - coach loads of people get dropped off here. The cafe is hectic and the staff interacted very rudely with me as a result. We didn't stay because of this. The shop downstairs sells nice stuff but prices are ridiculous! Couldn't believe my eyes. Overall this place is a good stop if you're dying to pee (free parking and free toilets) but otherwise I would suggest enjoying the view from the car rather than the cramped cafe, then driving 15 mins to Killarney town and getting lunch from there instead. Loads more options in town.

Tourist trap. Do you know when you see a pre-sale price (RRP) and think "who the heck pays that much pre-discount?" - this is basically a place that sells at RRP and you're surrounded by tourists paying the extortionate prices!

Awesome place for a stop by. Gets pretty crowded when all the coaches which does the ring stops by. There's a cloths shop which sells at a high rate but the cafe is OK, there's nothing nearby anyway for miles. Has ample parking outside, just on Mols gap, you can walk around outside and gape at the the lovely scenery all around. We touched here twice, on the way from South to Gap of Dunloe and also on the drive on the Ring, both times great pit stops. The best was, the lady at the cash gave a book let "Gems of Kerry" which served us well the next 3 days as a guide, highly recommend it as its a short guide to all you can do here and its free. Great place to pick up a cuppa and stretch your legs too, we found the souvenir expensive, but then, hay, its a tourist spot.
If you have a small car, DO NOT take the big road down, take the Gap Of Dunlo Road, experience in a life time!

Nice, clean and reasonably price cafe. The various scones were really tasty.

Turns out that Avoca make and sell textiles and clothes which as stated in an old Stella Artois advert are reassuringly expensive. That's on the ground floor. The cafe upstairs also not cheap sells affordable food of imaculate quality where you would wish to eat everyday if you could. Tip drive on by and visit on your way back or on another day if a coach pulls in before you!
